[School] Report on Days 1 and 2 of the France Expedition

[Day 1]
Eight selected students from the FC Tokyo Soccer and Futsal School will participate in Europoussins 2024 held in France!
Departed from Haneda Airport to France on May 29 (Wed).

We were able to proceed smoothly with procedures such as departure thanks to the cooperation of our official partner, JTB.
Take a flight, it's about a 15-hour journey!

It was a long time, but everyone spent their time on the plane watching movies, enjoying the scenery, and getting a little sleep.
We have safely arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris!
At the airport, I will meet Coco, the organizer of the tournament, who will take care of us during the event.

From the airport, transfer by train to Rennes. From the airport, take the subway to get there.
After a short break, such as eating a sandwich at the large terminal, we arrived in Rennes by Shinkansen.

Furthermore, from there, it took a 40-minute drive to the accommodation. Although showing some signs of fatigue, it became a journey of about 20 hours since departure, but the children arrived safely without any accidents or injuries.

At the accommodation, we confirmed things to be careful about while moving, reflected on our actions, and reviewed the plans for tomorrow.
The first day involved a long journey, but the children spent the day feeling the differences in the environment compared to Japan.
I plan to visit Mont Saint-Michel tomorrow!

[Day 2]
We have reached the second day of the France expedition.
Despite the fatigue from yesterday's long travel, everyone woke up energetically in the morning!
For breakfast, we had juice, fruits, and cereal prepared by Coco, the organizer of the tournament, and we each chose and ate our favorite bread from a bakery located very close to our accommodation.
It was a very satisfying breakfast with everything being delicious!
We thoroughly prepared and cleaned up for our meals ourselves.

After breakfast, we went on the much-anticipated tour of the UNESCO World Heritage site, Mont Saint-Michel! As we got closer to Mont Saint-Michel, the children were extremely excited. Since Coco had previously worked there, she provided detailed explanations about the meaning of the building's structure and how the rooms were used in the past during the tour.
The children fully experienced history and culture!

After visiting Mont Saint-Michel, we took a break and had some cookies and apple juice prepared for us by Coco's friend who runs a nearby shop, and we also had time to buy souvenirs!
Before everyone makes a purchase, we were able to closely observe the production process of the store's signature product, caramel, and we also got to taste the freshly made caramel.
This store is also cooperating with the tournament, and everyone will give you a warm welcome!

After that, we visited Coco's house, interacted with the goats and chickens kept in the garden, and also played a French game called pétanque.

After playing, I wrote a diary reflecting on the expedition so far, and then had yakisoba for dinner along with a dessert made with buckwheat flour commonly used in the Brittany region!

Today, I spent a fulfilling day focused on sightseeing. Tomorrow, I plan to visit a local elementary school in the morning and have a training match in the afternoon.
We will finally prepare ourselves both physically and mentally for the tournament!
