□Personal Comment
Hello everyone! Thank you very much for your continued support of FC Tokyo.
Although it is during the season, I, Naohiro ISHIKAWA, have decided to retire from professional football at the end of this season.
This morning, as I mentioned on my personal blog, I suffered an injury during a friendly match against Frankfurt in August 2015. Although I returned to J3 last September after surgery, my condition worsened again. I have been working on rehabilitation for my injured left knee, but I have not made the recovery I had hoped for. Feeling frustrated that I cannot contribute to the team on the pitch, I have developed a strong desire to face the remaining season with even greater determination, responsibility, and pride.
However, I believe that reflecting back should be done after the season where everything has been given has ended.
I want to move forward while sharing feelings that can only be experienced now, with many companions.
I want to change the atmosphere, energize, and connect it to results by standing on the pitch at Ajinomoto for even a short time.
I would like to express my gratitude and give back one last time as a player to all the fans and supporters who have fought alongside us, as well as to everyone who has supported us until now.
Thank you to everyone. And I look forward to your continued support.
