Today is the last day of the Germany expedition.
In the unfortunate weather with cold rain falling since morning, I visited Cologne Cathedral by bus.
After shopping at nearby facilities, check in at a hotel near Frankfurt Airport. Depart for home on tomorrow morning's flight.
Through this expedition, we were able to experience and engage with top-class youth soccer in Germany, and directly feel and absorb the attitude of pursuing the essence of soccer.
I want to build on what we have accumulated so far as FC Tokyo U-18, adding this experience, and confidently take on the new season, starting with the Premier League that will begin shortly after returning to Japan.
We would like to express our gratitude to all the individuals involved who contributed to the implementation of this expedition to Germany.
Thank you very much.
Captain Takuya Watanabe's Comment
"Through this expedition, I personally felt that my physicality was sufficient, but my speed still needs improvement."
At first, the entire team was surprised by the physical strength and speed, but we were able to compete evenly with our strong point of passing. Furthermore, experiencing the high level of finishing, which is something we lack, was a very significant experience.
I want to express what I experienced here in Japan as the Premier League will start soon after I return to Japan.
