[U-18] Germany Expedition Day 3

On the third day in Germany, we had breakfast at 8am and took a slightly longer walk and stretched to loosen up from yesterday's fatigue.
After that, take an active rest by doing things like shopping and prepare for the afternoon tryout.

After lunch, a 1 hour and 30 minute bus ride.
The opponent for this practice match is Mainz, where Yoshinori MUTO, a senior member of the U-18 team, plays.
When I arrived at the venue, there was Mutoh waiting for the U-18 players.
Immediately, we received words of encouragement from player Muto and took a commemorative photo together.
In response to the question "What does it take to succeed in Germany?", we emphasized the importance of winning the ball and attacking and defending as a team, and realized that the approach we have been taking under coach Sato in the U-18 team is correct.

Afterwards, I visited OPEL ARENA, the home stadium of Mainz.
I have always been able to enter the pitch level where fierce battles are always fought, and also the locker room.

And, the second match of the Germany expedition.

In the early stages, although we were pushed back by the opponent's speedy play, we gradually began to respond and in the 12th minute, Imamura took the team's first shot.
Afterwards, they engage in a back-and-forth battle in the middle of the field while regaining their rhythm.
In the 37th minute, the ball was moved from the right to the center with multiple players, but in the end, Okanohara on the right side sent a cross that did not reach any of the players in the middle.
GK Takase blocks the FK given just before the end of the first half in front of the penalty area.

In the second half, at 48 minutes, a pass was sent behind the midfield due to a mistake, allowing the opponent to break through and score the first goal.
After that, when Fuki-no was thrown in, he grabbed the rhythm with a devoted press from the front and a jump to the space, and in the 57th minute, Okanohata, who picked up the flow of the cross from Sugiyama's left side, raised Grander's cross.
Konomi jumps in, but just barely misses and misses the chance.
Increased pressure from quick switching and pressing from the front line has led to more aggressive play and increased time pushing forward. However, in the 65th minute, we conceded a goal from a single vertical pass behind our defense.
GK Takase prevents a one-on-one pinch even though he was broken through on a counterattack in the 75th minute.
At 80 minutes, Haru skillfully heads Okaniwa's cross, but it hits the top of the post.
The team continued to push forward, but were unable to break through the opponent's strong defense, resulting in a 0-2 loss at the end of the game.

Experience the decisive power and strength in duels of Mainz.
It was a match where I felt the strength of German football, even though they seemed to be able to do it, they couldn't let us win.
