Day 3 of the France Expedition.
Today, we traveled by bus for 2 and a half hours to the tournament venue, Sansu.
After that, we played against the local Sansu City selection U-15.
We received a welcome from the tournament chairman (representative of France's largest newspaper) at the venue.
The chairman praised the education of Japanese children and said that France should learn from it.
In addition, since I came to France, I want to embrace French culture.
First, we talked about the importance of accepting greetings with a handshake.
The training match venue was natural grass, but the pitch conditions were different from Japan and the environment made the ball bounce a little easier.
After a good performance yesterday, the team struggled to adapt to the environment and ended the first half trailing 0-1.
In the second half, we were able to score 2 goals due to getting used to various aspects, resulting in a total of 2-1 victory.
Being able to check the pitch the day before the tournament was a great achievement for both players and staff.
We will take advantage of today's lesson and prepare for tomorrow's tournament.
In addition, 500 volunteer staff members are involved in the operation of this tournament, allowing us to experience the maturity of local sports culture in France.
The team moved to the Sansu Police Academy dormitory in 2 and a half hours.
This is where we will be staying during the tournament. The local government is very supportive of sports, so we can feel the high level of interest from the people.
A meal of couscous from North Africa was prepared at the dining venue.
"First, we received and ate the words from the chairman, and the players also gained new experiences."
At night, the staff will convey tough messages to the players in preparation for the tournament, and the team will approach with a greater sense of tension.
We will fulfill our responsibilities and bring about results.
