On April 2 (Saturday), 2016, during the Meiji Yasuda J1 League 1st Stage Sec. 5 match against Nagoya Grampus (kick-off at 16:00/Ajinomoto Stadium), we implemented the "Children and Youth Development Support Project - Expanding the Future for Children through Soccer." We hereby report as follows.
□ Co-hosted
FC Tokyo, Certified Specified Nonprofit Organization Sodatte Age Net
□ Support
Fuchu City
□ Target
Junior high school students in Fuchu City
□Implementation Details
Currently, support for learning based on the Act on Support for Independence of Needy Persons is being provided to children from low-income families. On the other hand, beyond just academic support, there is a need to create a system that provides career design education focused on the future, fosters a sense of professional values, and offers opportunities for work experience to complement these efforts.
With the slogan "A future that expands for children through soccer," we have collaborated with the certified specified non-profit organization, Sodateage Net, to work on the 'Child and Youth Development Support Project' addressing such social issues.
This time, we would like to invite middle school students from Fuchu City to have an inspiring experience with their peers by watching an FC Tokyo match. Additionally, we provided an opportunity for each student to engage in career design related to professions in soccer beforehand. On the day of the match, we conducted a work experience (cleaning the spectator seats) and a stadium tour at Ajinomoto Stadium, as well as a workplace tour for those who work there.
The certified specified non-profit organization Sodatage Net (Tachikawa City, Tokyo / Chairman Keisuke Kudo) provides employment support for young unemployed individuals and assistance to children from impoverished families.
