Yoshinobu Ishii, who served as an advisor to our club since 2001, has passed away at the age of 79. During his tenure, he dedicated himself to strengthening the team and served as a consultant on all aspects of club management, contributing to the club's development for many years. He also served as the coach of the Japan national team, making significant contributions to the development of Japanese football.

During his active career, he had a brilliant record with Toyo Kogyo, winning the Emperor's Cup and league championships. After retiring, he took charge of the Fujita Industrial Club soccer team, where he won numerous titles. From 1986 to 1987, he served as the head coach of the Japan national team and later played a key role in the establishment of the J-League, making significant contributions to the development of Japanese soccer, including FC Tokyo.
On April 28 (Saturday), 2018, during the Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J1 League Sec. 11 match against Nagoya Grampus, FC Tokyo players will wear armbands.
