"FC Tokyo Fan" will be on sale from July 15th (Wednesday) as the 5th installment of "2015 FC Tokyo Monthly Goods".
 

This year, we asked the long-established fan shop Ibasen to make it for us.
 

Iba Sen was founded by Ibayakansaiemon, a merchant from Hamamatsu who went up to Edo with Tokugawa Ieyasu. The name of the store at that time, Ibayakaya, was named after the first generation's birthplace, Ibayamura (now Ibacho, Hamamatsu City). Also, the year of foundation, 1590 (1590 AD), was the year of the first generation's birth, so the exact year of foundation is uncertain, so our company considers this birth year as the year of foundation. 
Founded in Edo Nihonbashi Horie-cho (now Nihonbashi Kobune-cho), we initially handled the shogunate's orders and mainly dealt with Japanese paper and bamboo products. From the late Edo period, we began to handle uchiwa ukiyo-e and spread the name "Ibaya" throughout the city of Edo as a publisher for first-generation Toyokuni, Kunisada, Hiroshige, and others.
Currently, the "Iba Senban" version is not only displayed in domestic art museums, but also in famous art museums overseas such as the British Museum, Boston Museum of Fine Arts, Metropolitan Museum of Art, and Van Gogh Museum.
