□ Personal Comment
I have decided to transfer to JEF United Chiba.
In light of this transfer, I had many discussions with the club. I am truly grateful to President Okane, GM Tateishi, and Coach Shinoda for offering me the opportunity to continue as a player in the new season, despite not having achieved significant results during my long tenure. I also appreciate the many options they presented to me for remaining with the club. Additionally, I want to express my gratitude to my teammates, coaches, and business staff who have supported me throughout this journey. Thank you very much.
This decision was not an easy one for me or my family. I believe that many people around me did not want me to leave the familiar FC Tokyo. What drove me in this situation was the desire to remain an ambitious football player until my retirement.
If you are registered with FC Tokyo, there is a comfortable place for you as the oldest player in the new season, and whether you play in the matches or not, there are fans and supporters who will treat you kindly as always. After spending such a year, I will retire. It may be easy, but something feels different. That's what I thought.
My challenge at 37 years old is certainly not an easy one, and there are not only positive voices regarding this transfer, but it is all part of the challenge. I believe that in the professional world, you must carve your own path and create your own history. My fight, approached with the determination that this may be my last year, is truly a culmination of everything, and I want to give it my all to the point where I think, 'I can’t run anymore!'
Regarding this transfer, the club tried to provide an opportunity for me to greet the fans and supporters directly, but due to scheduling issues, it has come to this written message. However, the support you have sent me has definitely been the driving force that moves my heart and body, and that is why I am here now, and I believe this transfer has become a reality.
I look forward to the day when we can meet again with smiles. I sincerely wish for the club's development and league championship. Thank you very much for everything until now.
