□Reason for Disciplinary Action (from the J.League Discipline Committee)
On September 22, 2021 (Wednesday), in the 2021 Meiji Yasuda J1 League Sec. 32 match (FC Tokyo vs Nagoya Grampus), Leandro was ordered to leave the field by the referee.
(Public Interest Incorporated Foundation) As a result of deliberation in light of the disciplinary standards of the Japan Football Association for competitions and matches, the act of using excessive force to strike the opponent's face area with the right arm during a contest was deemed a very dangerous act that could threaten the player's life. It is judged to correspond to 2-2. 'Assault or intimidation against players and provocative acts against the general public,' resulting in a two-match suspension.
Furthermore, regarding the same player, in the 2020 Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J1 League Sec. 8 match on August 1, 2020, FC Tokyo vs Sagan Tosu, the player was strictly warned by this committee for using hands or elbows near the opponent's face. Additionally, in Sec. 21 on October 10, 2020, FC Tokyo vs Gamba Osaka, the player was suspended for 3 matches and fined 300,000 yen by this committee for an extremely malicious and dangerous act of deliberately striking the opponent's face while running alongside them. Considering that the current act by the same player is a repeated violation of the same nature as last year, it was judged to correspond to Article 11 of the Disciplinary Regulations of the Japan Football Association (Public Interest Incorporated Foundation) [Increased penalty for repeated violations], and a 1-match suspension was imposed, in addition to the above 3-match suspension and fine of 300,000 yen.
