FC Tokyo will hold a soccer tournament for 6th graders, "FC Tokyo Winter Cup 2021 presented by Sieg Corporation."

For the first time, we will hold a tournament aimed at 6th graders from youth teams and club teams active in Tokyo, to create memories of their soccer life during a time when many tournaments and matches were canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

We sincerely look forward to the participation of many teams after confirming the overview and tournament guidelines below.

Providing opportunities for tournaments and matches for 6th grade elementary school students whose tournaments or matches were canceled or postponed, and creating memorable soccer experiences for 6th graders.

December 27 (Mon) and 28 (Tue), 2021
※Tentative dates for the event: 2021 Dec 29 (Wed) and 30 (Thu)
* This tournament format does not involve overnight stays. It is a two-day tournament with day trips.

Tokyo Gas Fukagawa Ground (2-15-10 Sarue, Koto-ku, Tokyo)

□Number of Teams to be Recruited (Planned)
14 teams

□Participation Eligibility
・Teams mainly composed of 6th graders from youth groups and club teams active in Tokyo
・Teams that have completed the prescribed participation application procedures
・A team where all members are enrolled in sports injury insurance
・Teams that can participate until the end of the tournament schedule (including reserve days)
・Participants who have obtained parental consent to participate
・Teams that can agree to the tournament organizers' policies and instructions (such as infection control measures) when participating
・A team composed of 8 or more (up to 16) players as a general rule

□Participation Fee
10,000 yen (tax included) / team

□ Tournament Format
・Rules in accordance with the Japan Football Association competition regulations.
・Day 1: League matches with 4 teams in each block
　Day 2: League matches and ranking matches with 3 teams per ranking
・Each match consists of two halves of 15 minutes each (total 30 minutes), with a 5-minute halftime break.
・Pitch size is basically 68m × 50m.
・Refereeing is done by a single referee, with mutual refereeing by the competing teams.
・The ball used is size 4, provided by the organizer.
・Each team can register up to 16 players.
・Each team is scheduled to play 3 matches per day.

Until 23:59 on Tuesday, November 23 (National Holiday) *If there are many applications, participating teams will be decided by lottery.
Regarding the lottery results, the deadline for responses is Monday, November 29, and the contact person will notify you by email by the deadline.
