□ About "Easy Japanese" in Tokyo
"Easy Japanese" refers to simplified Japanese that is considerate of foreigners and others, making it easier to understand. The number of foreign residents in Tokyo is approximately 520,000 and is on the rise (as of January 2022), with a diverse range of nationalities. To realize a multicultural society where Japanese and foreigners live and thrive together in the community, it is important to use "Easy Japanese" to communicate while making efforts to understand each other. Furthermore, "Easy Japanese" is not only effective for communication with foreigners but also serves as a very effective tool for communicating with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, and its use is expanding in various fields such as administrative information, daily life information, and news dissemination.
