The "FC Tokyo Winter Cup 2024 supported by Sieg Corporation" was held over two days on December 27 and 28!

Five 6th grade teams from the FC Tokyo Soccer and Futsal School and 19 youth teams and club teams active in Tokyo gathered at the Tokyo Gas Fukagawa Ground for a two-day tournament.

For these two days, students from the same school venue and students from other venues played matches together as teammates.

At first, it was a quiet start, perhaps due to nerves, but as we spent more time together and played more matches, a sense of camaraderie developed, easing the tension and allowing us to showcase our daily achievements more and more.

After the goal, there were many scenes that looked like the goal scenes of FC Tokyo's top team, with players embracing each other and smiling while giving high-fives.

I strongly felt that someday the students of the school will score goals on the J-League stage and embrace each other as teammates on the pitch of Ajinomoto Stadium.

Youth teams and club teams active in the city were able to see many intense matches against teams that usually do not have the opportunity to compete against each other.

Many participants have been here for six years, so there are some who will be in their last tournament, but I hope this tournament becomes a good memory for them and that they will continue to thrive in the next stage.

I look forward to the day when the opponents in this tournament can become friends and play soccer together!
