The second day of the France expedition has started.
Last night, feeling tired from the travel, I fell asleep as soon as I got into bed, and this morning I woke up feeling refreshed.
I went to the town bakery for breakfast.
There were many delicious-looking breads lined up, and I was really struggling to choose, but everyone took their favorite bread home and enjoyed it along with the juices and fruits that were also prepared!

Before departure, some children were worried about the meals at the destination, but they were all very delicious, and they ate them with great delight!
After finishing eating, the children take responsibility for cleaning up, such as washing the dishes and tidying the room, and they consciously work on acting independently in their daily lives!

After breakfast, we took the local bus and went sightseeing around the town of Dinan.
In Dinan, we visited the market held from morning until around noon.
Even the same types of vegetables were completely different in size from those in Japan, and the children really enjoyed seeing the local ingredients!

After the market, we moved to a spot on top of the city walls with a beautiful view, and while enjoying the scenery, we ate French bread sandwiches prepared by the bakery we visited in the morning.

After that, we took a leisurely stroll through the historic town of Dinant, photographing the timber-framed houses and the approximately 800m cobblestone slopes, unique to France. After walking for about an hour,
we enjoyed brownies and kouign-amann as snacks at a bakery.
All of them are truly delicious, and the children are impressed by the authentic bread!!

In the afternoon, we returned to the lodging once from Dinan and went sightseeing in Saint-Malo, known as the pirate city.
In Saint-Malo, there is a coastline where we first enjoyed the beautiful sea view from atop the city walls, and then went down to the seaside to play by running freely on the sandy beach and dipping our feet in the sea!

After San Malo, we visited Coco's house, played a little in the garden, and then had dinner.
Tonight, I had the specialty of the Brittany region where I am staying, "buckwheat galettes" and "crepes" made for me.

I had a very fulfilling day today as well.
Experiencing different environments and cultures from Japan, absorbing many things!!
Tomorrow morning, we plan to visit a local school, and in the afternoon, we will train for the tournament!
