From August 5 (Tue) to 7 (Thu), we held the "Futsal Skill Up Summer Clinic" for 3rd and 4th grade elementary school students at Kodaira Citizen's General Gymnasium!

[Day 1]
We started with a meeting! We reviewed the schedule for the three days, the goals of the clinic, and the agreements.
At the Futsal Skill Up Summer Clinic, we aim to develop hybrid players who can excel in soccer as well through training specialized in futsal!

The topic of the first day is "Transition Attack."
They prepared in advance using slides and videos, engaging seriously while being amazed by the unique techniques and tactics of futsal. Additionally, the GK course meeting was held as usual, allowing FP players to deepen their understanding of GK.
Moved to the gymnasium and started training. We practiced many quick transitions unique to futsal repeatedly. In the final game, although everyone was initially confused by the futsal rules (substitution method, back-pass rule), all players adapted quickly, resulting in a very good match.

In the review meeting, we filled out the bookmark with "things we were able to do," "things we couldn't do," and "what is necessary to be able to do." Some players struggled to put their thoughts into words, but with the coach's support, we were able to complete it successfully.
[Day 2]
From the second day, training will be held throughout the day, both in the morning and afternoon!
The topic in the morning was "transition defense."
The situation is the same as yesterday, but since the focus has reversed between offense and defense in the training, we also reviewed yesterday's practice footage.

Since we were training transition attacks yesterday, the players switched quickly, making it a very good training session.
In the last match, there were very good offensive and defensive plays during the transition phase, resulting in a higher quality game compared to the first day.

After the training session, return to the waiting room, hold a review meeting, and each person fills out their bookmark.
We challenged them to fill in the details concretely using the "5W1H" method.
After finishing the lunch break, we held another meeting and reaffirmed our commitment to training!
The afternoon topic was "press avoidance." Initially, we confirmed press avoidance without defenders and gradually moved closer to a game-like format. Also, press avoidance involves a significant role for the goalkeeper, and everyone trained with a sense of unity.

In the last match, there were many futsal-like plays, such as scenes where players avoided the press they had trained for, and it was evident from their play that the players' understanding deepened over the two days!
[Day 3]
On the final day, many players greeted others themselves and carried their own belongings, showing growth even off the court.
The morning topic was "positional defense." After training on when, where, who, and how to take the ball, we held a review meeting and prepared for the training match in the afternoon.

After the break, we reviewed what we had done so far, and finally listened to "You'll Never Walk Alone" to boost morale for the match.
The opponent for the training match is the school team attending the "Futsal Class" of the FC Tokyo Soccer & Futsal School!
The clinic participants demonstrated the training they had done over three days on the court, and the school team also showed the results of their regular school practice, making it a closely contested and exciting match!

The training matches have ended, and we move on to the three-day closing.
At the certificate awarding ceremony, each participant receives a certificate from the coach and gives a speech sharing their thoughts and gratitude about the three days.
Although nervous, the sight of expressing gratitude to their family members was impressive.

At the end, we watched a video reviewing the three days.
At the end, there was a message from Kento HASHIMOTO, which was met with voices of surprise and joy!
Three days of training specialized in futsal and challenging "independence" off the court.
I feel that they have grown significantly not only in their play but also in their actions and feelings.
We look forward to seeing you again somewhere, even more powerful than before!
