5/8 Tosu Match Preview

In the 10th round, which was the first J1 league match held at the Japan National Stadium, Gamba Osaka won 2-0, but they suffered a 1-5 defeat in the following away match against Fukuoka. They conceded the first goal to Fukuoka, who are known for their organized defense, and then were hit by counter attacks when they were pushing forward. As coach Albert PUIG ORTONEDA had warned before the match, it was a tough game for Tokyo.

However, there were also positive elements such as the new option of placing Leandro, who returned to the front line, and Kuryu Matsuki's first professional goal. In order to fight the season, it is important to find nourishment for the future even from defeat and to connect it to future growth.

This round, we welcome Tosu to Ajinomoto. With the addition of Kenta KAWAI as head coach this season, we will continue to play positional football as our foundation. While the main players have changed from last season, the team's maturity level remains high.

For Tokyo, they are facing a team that they have lost to 5 times in a row in the league. In order to overcome their weakness and change the momentum from their previous defeat, they must show a strong mentality and go for the 3 points.
