Q: How do you feel about the intensity of the practice and the atmosphere of the team after participating in the camp so far?
Everyone, including players and staff, has a good atmosphere, and in a good way, it's friendly and cheerful, allowing us to train in a positive environment.

Q, regarding your condition, including preparations before the camp, what is your current state?
A, I personally fell ill during the off-season, so I entered the camp in poor condition. Also, I played on artificial turf in college, and now playing on natural grass in the professional league, I felt some discomfort with the pitch. However, since coming to Okinawa, I have been gradually improving.

Q: I think you can play various positions, but which position do you think you will be playing?
I want to compete as an anchor or inside half.

Q: When building the team and observing the plays of the seniors, for example, in the inside half, there are players with high intensity, and as for the anchor, Keigo HIGASHI is fixed, which allows the defense line to have some leeway by securing the ball. While watching the characteristics of the seniors, have you been able to specifically identify things you have learned or points where you can compete?
In the anchor position, I want to absorb the way Higashi plays and his work rate. In the inside half, Matsuki and Abe demonstrate high intensity and work rate throughout the 90 minutes, which is something I lack. I want to learn from that and make it my own to win the position battle.

Q, is it your determination to confront head-on in that competition?
A, I also pride myself on my work rate and ball recovery, so I think of it as a good rivalry and I want to play aggressively without holding back to take the position.

Q: I believe you have actually won against Tokyo with that attitude, but now that you are officially a member of the team, how much do you feel you can perform as a professional while accompanying the team?
There are many high-level players, and I am inspired every day. Even in this short period, I feel that I still have a long way to go. However, I believe that I am not incapable, so I think I need to showcase one or two more aspects of my play to secure a starting position. Given the presence of good players, I want to learn, absorb, and stand out by taking what I can from them.

Q: You may not have felt too distant since you were participating in practice while still in university, but after experiencing the disappointment of being relegated from the Premier League to the Prince League in U-18, do you feel that there is a story that connects the last four years for you, Terayama?
I felt frustrated when I was relegated to the Prince League in my third year of U-18, and I practiced every day during my four years at university to return to Tokyo. I am genuinely happy that my efforts have been recognized and that I was able to join the team. However, I still remember the frustration of being relegated, so entering the professional world comes with a sense of responsibility, and I want to win the J1 championship and various titles in Tokyo.

Q: Please tell me specifically about the areas that still need improvement and the areas that are effective.
A, there are still areas that need improvement, particularly in terms of quality and work rate. I especially feel that my quality is still lacking. On the other hand, I feel that I am able to demonstrate my ability to win the ball back during practice, so I have confidence in that aspect.

Q: I have heard that you pay attention to your diet. What do you focus on?
Since I was in middle school, I have been eating meat every day to grow my body. Now that I am in camp, I try not to eat fried foods too much and focus on nutrition by eating rice properly.

Q: What kind of meat did you incorporate?
A, it varied from lean meat to black Wagyu depending on the day.

Q: I believe your family has supported you until now, but as you have turned professional and your environment has changed, how will you manage from now on?
I don't drink much protein or anything like that. Right now, since I'm living in the dormitory, I'm being provided with meals that take proper nutritional balance into consideration, so I'm able to have a balanced diet.

Q: I understand that you are not doing strength training, but I think the impact of your diet has been significant. How do you feel about it yourself?
I believed that eating meat in the morning would make my body grow, so I continued to eat it. Also, since I commuted by bicycle during my student days, I think I was trained in that way.

Q: How much time did you spend commuting to school every day?
A, it takes about 1 hour round trip.

Q: It is now the fourth day of camp. How is the camp going as a professional?
A, since I had the experience last year as well, I understand the overall flow. I think this camp has increased intensity and is becoming a good camp.

Q: How is your communication with your seniors?
A, since I don't know when my seniors will go abroad, I try to actively communicate on my own.

Q: Are there any players you talk to particularly well?
I often ask player Nagatomo about body care, such as stretching. We used to talk a lot after practice last year.

Q: This will be your first year in the league. What kind of period do you want to have leading up to the opening match?
A, this season's goal is to win a title, so I hope to make a contribution by showcasing my skills during practice as much as possible.

Q: I think Matsuki contributed to the team in his first year last season. What are your thoughts on seeing that?
A, Matsuki has continued to play and achieve results since his first year, so I hope to play confidently from my first year as well.

Q: Do you have direct conversations or communication with Matsuki? Also, do you receive advice on how to achieve results from your first year?
I really respect him as a person, and since Matsuki often talks to me, we have good communication. I also hope to learn more about strengthening mental aspects.
