2023 2nd CAMP REPORT&INTERVIEW
DAY2 Hisatoshi NISHIDO

On the second day of the Miyazaki camp, despite it being a weekday, many fans and supporters came to watch the practice. It was another day of training under clear skies.

In practice, we conducted a positional game focusing on finishing by expanding from center back to the sides and collaborating to break through.

It is the time to finalize preparations for the opening match. On the pitch, players were seen making detailed adjustments while communicating with each other. Additionally, during moments when shots were not being converted or when the ball could not be advanced, not only Coach Albert PUIG ORTONEDA but also the players were urging each other, demanding high quality from the entire team.

We have been able to build up training focused on combinations and precision leading to the finish. We will demonstrate this achievement in tomorrow's training match against Zweigen Kanazawa and accelerate our team building towards the season opener.

Q: How do you feel after the second day of the second camp?
A, I want to improve my condition further after returning from the Okinawa camp and starting the camp in Miyazaki. After finishing the second day of training, thanks to the support of the medical staff, I am in a very good situation.

Q: You joined the practice late due to an injury, but how do you want to appeal from now on?
I am very regretful about joining late, but there's no point in dwelling on it, so I have been preparing for my return even while injured. Right now, I believe I am starting from the very bottom due to the delay. It's a tough situation, but I want to overcome it and connect it to my future.

Q: What kind of preparations have you made during your injury period?
I had been injured due to poor use of my hips, so I have been doing training to become more aware of how to use my hips.

Q: When it comes to training the glutes, I think of Yuto NAGATOMO. Are you seeking any advice?
A, I haven't been able to participate in the training with Yuto NAGATOMO due to timing issues, but I would like to join if there is an opportunity. I spoke with Yuto NAGATOMO the other day and told him, "Please teach me next time," so I hope to learn from him if the timing works out.

Q: I think the competition among side attackers in Tokyo is intense, with strong, skilled, and fast players. What is your enthusiasm like?
There are many high-quality players among the side attackers, but there are no tall left-footed players, so I want to leverage my left-footedness as my strength and individuality, and I hope to compete with the great players currently in the game.

Q: Since we have not yet been able to deliver Hisatoshi NISHIDO's play to the fans and supporters, please appeal your characteristics.
I believe my strength is my driving force, so I would like you to see my ability to move forward when I have the ball, as well as my efforts to get behind the opponent even when I don't have the ball, and my plays that advance the team towards the goal.

Q: There are two practice matches during the camp period. What will you focus on when approaching them?
A, even during practice, the quality of each aspect is being demanded, and the standards have risen compared to my university days, which makes it feel more challenging. I believe that the quality of passes and crosses becomes important in practice matches, so I want to focus even more on the details and play with greater concentration than ever before.

Q: Please tell us your goals for this season.
Without worrying about it being my first year, I want to participate in matches while being careful of injuries, as I believe scoring is necessary for the league championship. I hope to embody the football style that the club is promoting this season, which is "+1 GOAL (one more goal)," and work towards contributing to FC Tokyo's league championship through assists and goals.
