2023 2nd CAMP REPORT & INTERVIEW
DAY4 Masato MORISHIGE

Miyazaki, which had been enjoying clear weather, is now covered in thick clouds today. However, many people still came to watch the practice, just like yesterday.

Today, due to the fact that there was a practice game yesterday and there will be one tomorrow, we adjusted with a relatively light menu.

We mainly practiced using the pitch widely and confirming set plays until the finish. We also focused on preparing for the next day's practice match and worked on practical menus.

Even in a relaxed atmosphere, during practice, each player focused on every play and if there were any mistakes, they would push each other to maintain a high level of quality as a team.

We will demonstrate the progress made during the camps held in Okinawa and Miyazaki in tomorrow's match, providing a valuable opportunity for the opening game.

A total of 21 days were spent at this season's camp. Captain Masato MORISHIGE reflects on the entire camp.

Q, There is a final training match for the camp tomorrow, how is the team's growth and individual adjustment?
A, personally, things are going well and as a team, we are finding challenges with each game and working to solve them. I want to continue doing this work at a high level.

Q, Coach Albert PUIG ORTONEDA has said that it is important to control the ball and dominate the game. Has the level of completion increased during the camp compared to last season?
In addition to holding the ball, it is also important to score goals, so there is still a lot to do.

Q, you said you have to score goals, but we also did a lot of training to improve the quality at the end during camp.
In a game, it is important whether you score or concede points. Currently, there are many scenes where we cannot score even though we create chances, but I believe that we can improve by being more conscious, so I want to keep a high level of awareness. Personally, my actions will not change, but I think that if I can make more accurate passes from a higher position, it will lead to a better situation for our attack.

Q, What effects have been seen on the team by continuing to try various combinations of players without fixing them, including new players?
A, In the midst of position battles, players are able to have good practices in order to win their positions. I think that if we can have high-level practices, it will naturally lead to high-level games, so I think it's a good thing.

Q, There is an impression that you communicate a lot with young players, is there anything you are conscious of?
In order to achieve results throughout the entire season, the strength of the entire team is necessary. I believe that it is essential for the team to grow to have new players emerge from the younger generation, like Kuryu Matsuki who performed well last season. Therefore, we are striving to create an environment where young players can perform well.

Q, What preparations are you making for the remaining period leading up to the opening?
A, I want to continue to focus on building up and scoring goals in finer detail.

Q, please tell us your goal for this season.
I think it's important for us to focus on each game and give our all in order to win the league championship. So, we will cherish each and every game.
