As an initiative outside of match days for 'NO PLANET, NO TOKYO,' we carried out this project with the sponsorship and cooperation of Okaya Steel Works, Ltd.

A dedicated collection box was installed at the Tokyo headquarters of Okaya Steel Works Co., Ltd., and with the cooperation of employees, we conducted a food drive and book drive aimed at reducing "losses" such as leftover food at home and books that are no longer read.
We were able to collect a total of four cardboard boxes of food and books.
On Tuesday, September 23 (public holiday), at the match venue for the Avispa Fukuoka game, we donated the booth collection items collected from fans and supporters to local food banks and welfare workshops.
Thank you for your cooperation.

□ Impressions from Okaya Steel Works, Ltd. through this initiative
Q. What motivated you to support the Food & Book Drive initiative?
A. We participated because we felt it was easy to engage in volunteer activities within the company. It can be challenging to join something on your own, but within the company, it felt more approachable and encouraged me to give it a try. I had always wanted to put picture books lying unused at home to good use for someone, so this was a great opportunity.
Q. Were there any memorable episodes or reactions from participants through the actual activities?
A. The donated books covered various genres, and it was enjoyable to think about who might have brought them. Books are especially easy for anyone to participate with, and it was great that I was able to take the action of donating at least one book myself.
Q. Through this initiative, what kind of social contribution do you feel your company has made?
A. I believe the most significant aspect was being able to experience social contribution through books and food items that were unused at home. Internally, I think it served as an opportunity for employees to feel closer to volunteer activities. I hope we were able to contribute even a little to community service activities in Tokyo.
Q. What aspects of the collaboration with FC Tokyo did you find appealing?
A. Working with FC Tokyo motivated us to respond properly! They provided a dedicated box, which looked cool and wonderful. Thank you very much! Because it was a collaborative project with FC Tokyo, even within our company there was more interest than usual.
