As part of the "TOKYO GROW WITH" program (student business staff), we held an exchange meeting with student interns active in the Chiba Jets, a professional basketball team belonging to the B.LEAGUE based in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture.
At FC Tokyo, the "TOKYO GROW WITH" program for student business staff activities started in April 2025. At Chiba Jets, the "Chiba Jets NEXT STAGE Internship" student internship program began in October of the same year, leading to the holding of this exchange meeting.
On the day, three student interns from Chiba Jets and four student business staff from FC Tokyo participated. It started with self-introductions by students from both clubs, followed by introductions of their respective duties, roles in home game operations, and daily learnings. Furthermore, students from Chiba Jets, whose program had just started in October, asked questions to the FC Tokyo students who had been active since April. In the latter half, a roundtable discussion was held for casual exchange of opinions and conversation.
When a student intern from Chiba Jets asked, "Was there anything you were conscious of during your activities in the TOKYO GROW WITH program?", the student business staff of FC Tokyo responded, "Even if there was something I didn't understand, I valued the attitude of thinking proactively first rather than immediately relying on the full-time business staff." They also said, "During home game operations, I created banners and display POPs while being conscious of how they would appear from the perspective of customers visiting the stadium." They introduced the points they were mindful of during their activities.
The student business staff of FC Tokyo shared a lot of advice based on their past experiences, and the student interns from Chiba Jets also shared the characteristics and appeal of arena sports productions, making it a fulfilling exchange opportunity with valuable learning for both sides.
