SOCIALSocial Activities
Sustainability Strategy
FC Tokyo is promoting environmental initiatives as an important theme in club management to realize the club's social statement, "Goals connected to the future of our lives."
Introduction
'Goals that connect to the future of our lives'
We advance our environmental initiatives because we believe that environmental issues are deeply connected to the club's activities themselves, and are a crucial prerequisite that affects people's lives, the sustainability of the community, and the future of the next generation. Football is an entity where many people gather, share emotions, and connect deeply with the community, and we believe the club has the responsibility to protect that value and pass it on to the future.
FC Tokyo aims to be a club that grows together with its hometown Tokyo, guided by the aspirations stated in its social statement: "Goals connected to the future of our lives," "A city full of more positive energy," "A city embraced by warmer support," and "A city blessed with cleaner air and nature." Environmental initiatives are an important pillar to realize this social statement and are positioned as contributing to the club's medium- to long-term value creation.
Climate change is having a tangible impact on sports venues and club management. We view this not as a temporary risk but as a structural challenge that should be integrated into management decisions, positioning environmental consideration at the core of sports business decision-making. FC Tokyo supports the principles of the 'Sports for Climate Action Framework' and 'Sport Positive Leagues (SPL),' and in alignment with these international frameworks, we are committed to reducing environmental impact and creating positive social outcomes. Through these efforts, we pledge to visualize the impact of the club's activities on the local community and society and to pursue continuous improvement.
This sustainability strategy is both a declaration and the start of action.
Together with fans, supporters, partners, local governments, and the community, we will focus on goals that connect to the future of our lives and continue to take responsible actions.
