The 24 participating teams are divided into 12 teams each in EAST and WEST, and a home-and-away round-robin tournament (22 matches) is held for each group. The champion teams of EAST and WEST earn the right to participate in the Premier League Final.
Also, the bottom two teams ranked 11th and 12th in EAST/WEST will be automatically relegated to the Prince League for the next season.
The top 16 teams of this year's Prince League (see below for each region's participation quota) qualify to participate in the Premier League playoffs. Among the 16 teams in the playoffs, the 4 winning teams will earn the right to participate in the Premier League for the next season.
