[Futsal School] Training Camp for the Vermont Cup

School Report

On March 26th and 27th, a training camp was held in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, with members participating in the Vermont Cup within the futsal school (3rd to 5th graders, 20 members).
As a futsal school team, this event was held again following last year, but this year it took place at a different location than last year.

Travel was made using the Azusa limited express for both outbound and return trips. The players enjoyed the scenery from the train windows, engaged in lively conversations with their teammates, and spent their time in their own ways.
On the way home, many players were seen sleeping soundly, tired from the two days.

On site, we held futsal matches, 8-a-side soccer, and activities (treasure hunt).

In the futsal match, we faced a team representing Yamanashi Prefecture again this year. Although there were moments when we felt the difficulty of our condition due to the match being right after travel, the experience in a different environment from usual provided the players with new insights and opportunities for growth.

In 8-a-side soccer, we held friendly matches and mixed-format games with everyone from Ventforet Kofu on a wonderful artificial turf pitch.

While usually focusing on futsal activities, we found many new discoveries through soccer matches.
Also, in mixed-format matches, it was impressive to see players actively communicating and demonstrating leadership themselves.

In the activity treasure hunt, the players showed concentration comparable to their regular training and enjoyed working together with their teammates.

This training camp was also supported by Fresh Del Monte Japan Co.,Ltd. with the provision of "bananas".
As an energy supplement during matches and as a snack, the players were supported by sweet and delicious bananas, and even players who usually do not eat bananas showed smiles.

During this training camp, by sharing meals and lodging, the players grew closer to each other, and the sense of unity as a team was further strengthened.

We will connect this experience to the Vermont Cup qualifiers starting in May.

Finally, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the players and parents who participated in this training camp, everyone who cooperated and supported us, and all the teams we competed against.

Thank you very much.
