U-15 Musashi France Expedition Day 7
[Day 7 Activity Report]
The first match was against Toulouse. We successfully scored the opening goal early on, but conceded from a set piece near the end of the second half. Although we showed resilience until the very end, the match ended in a 1-1 draw.
The next top league match, the 2nd game, was against Marseille. Without hesitation against physically superior opponents, we continued to apply aggressive pressure. We sharply intercepted their build-up and quickly expanded to the sides. From there, we perfectly connected with a cross and scored a valuable opening goal. In the second half, we faced a period of intense attacks from the opponent, but we protected the goal with focused defense and secured the victory. As a result, we advanced through the top league and qualified for the quarterfinals of the Final Round tournament!
Today, we will play one more match. The quarterfinal match against Stade Rennais.
In the first half, both sides continued a fierce battle without yielding, creating a tense atmosphere. In the final stages of the second half, we lost possession during the opponent's pressure in the build-up, conceding a goal on the counterattack. Just two minutes later, we regained possession from the opponent's build-up and made a sharp breakthrough through the center. Although the shot was blocked by the goalkeeper, we pushed in the rebound to score a determined equalizer. The match ended in a draw, leading to a penalty shootout. Each player faced it with strong resolve, but we fell just short and suffered a heartbreaking defeat.
In this tournament, the path to the championship ended here. Even so, the players who bravely fought until the very last moment received great applause from the stands.
After the match, Didier Deschamps, the French legend who achieved World Cup victory both as a player and as a coach, came to the reception.
The players listened, took photos, and enjoyed a fun time in a relaxed atmosphere.
The tournament is not over yet. Tomorrow is the placement match. We will use this experience as a stepping stone and fight together as a team until the very end.
