[Futsal School] Vermont Cup Activities (2026)
The "FC Tokyo Futsal School Team (※)", which started in October 2025 to participate in the All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship (JFA Vermont Cup) preliminary tournament, concluded about 10 months of activities on July 19, 2026.
(*)…This is a team composed exclusively of FC Tokyo Futsal School students, formed to participate in the All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship (JFA Vermont Cup) organized by the Japan Football Association.

At the start of this team, at the end of September 2025, we held a selection trial to recruit players from among the students enrolled in the FC Tokyo Futsal School who wished to participate in the tournament.
Twenty players in grades 3 to 5, selected through the tryouts, have engaged in team activities for about 10 months, practicing or playing practice matches once or twice a week for two hours each time (this is the only team activity for elementary school age groups at FC Tokyo).

During the activities, we held many practice matches and quasi-official games (Brillia Cup and invitational matches), as well as training camps and expeditions, preparing for the main tournament.

The results of the All Japan U-12 Futsal Championship (JFA Vermont Cup) preliminary tournament were 2 wins in the preliminary league consisting of 3 teams, followed by elimination in the 2nd Round (Round of 16) of the final knockout tournament.
This activity, now in its sixth year, achieved its best-ever result by reaching the top 16.

We have also received tremendous support and assistance from everyone in this activity.
We would especially like to thank Fresh Del Monte Co., Ltd. for providing delicious bananas every year, which have been a great source of energy for the players during training camps and matches.
We would like to take this opportunity to once again express our sincere gratitude to all the many parties who supported us and to everyone who understood and cooperated with us. Thank you very much.

This FC Tokyo Futsal School team has focused not only on improving soccer and futsal technical and tactical skills but also on behavior based on the mindset of a player called 'Aoaka Kids,' emphasizing proactive actions and personal responsibility.
Also, through meetings and reflections using video and note-taking, we have valued the cycle of analyzing ourselves and the entire team to approach the next practice, as well as the connections and bonds formed by working together with other age groups toward the same goal.
Through the long yet short period of 10 months, you were able to have experiences that cannot be felt in regular school activities, and likely experienced growth both as a person and as a player.

The coaching staff for this activity hold coaching licenses from the Japan Football Association for both soccer and futsal, and strive to provide hybrid coaching that can be applied not only to futsal but also to soccer.
We have also provided an environment where goalkeepers can steadily improve their skills by having a dedicated goalkeeper coach on site.

Although this is a limited-time activity, many futsal school students challenge themselves to participate every year.
There are also players who move to the futsal school or add courses to challenge themselves from the soccer school (not only the regular classes but also the Selected Class and Advanced Class).
Why not grow even more as a person by wearing the FC Tokyo emblem together with your teammates and experiencing the tension and joy of competing in official matches organized by the Japan Football Association?
The team for the 2027 season will hold a selection trial in September 2026. If you are interested, we look forward to your trial experience at the futsal school.
