[Player/Coach Comments]
"Ryoichi MAEDA"
(Looking back at the scoring scene)
"It was great that Muroya gave me a good ball and the shot flew in a good direction."
Unfortunately, the team lost, so it's a shame.
The first goal of the season was late.
"I couldn't win today either, I wanted to contribute to the team's strength earlier."
(Looking back on the season)
"I was given a chance, but I couldn't make the most of it."
"It was a season where I felt a lack of ability."
(Message to fans and supporters)
"Thank you so much for always sending us your passionate support. We received a lot of support today as well, and we truly appreciate it for the past year."
"Yojiro TAKAHAGI"
(I think it was a game where we were able to form an attacking shape)
"We were able to play with the consciousness of moving forward as a team. I think we were able to show what we have been doing this season."
(I think it was a challenging game looking towards next year, do you have any thoughts now?)
"First of all, I feel that it will be tough if we cannot maintain the same level of energy and high-quality play in every game. I think it is necessary to approach all 34 games with the same motivation."
(Finished in 6th place. Regarding this ranking?)
"In the first half, we were in a position to compete for the championship, but in the second half, we couldn't seem to win. With a total of 34 games in one season, we have to constantly play the same kind of game even under the pressure of competing for the championship. I'm not satisfied, but I think we can see the future."
"Tokyo - Manager Kenta HASEGAWA Press Conference Summary"
"The good thing today was that until the very end, we showed our fans and supporters that we were trying our best and showed a strong attitude towards scoring goals. Even when we were scored against, we didn't look down and kept our spirits up, and we were able to fight until the end without losing our momentum. We were able to learn from our previous game and use it to our advantage."
This season, there were some games where we couldn't score goals easily, but the players showed their determination until the very end today, and I think they did a great job. Speaking about the game, I think it was a result and development that symbolizes this season. It's a shame, especially the second goal, but Urawa is a team that is good at exploiting those opportunities, so we talked about not giving them any chances before the game.
After taking one point and getting the game going, it is a golden rule of soccer to concentrate for a few minutes, but we were also hit in that aspect. Also, it was a shame to concede the second goal in a quick start situation. However, as a subsequent form, I think it is growth to be able to create chances against the opponent who has fallen back, and it was a very big point for the team that we were able to return one point in that situation, and (Ryoichi) MAEDA showed his determination at the end.
Despite finishing in 6th place, I am grateful for the tremendous support from the fans and supporters until the summer. However, we were unable to meet their expectations in the end. Personally, I feel that this past year has made me realize my own weaknesses and that Tokyo as a team must become even stronger.
However, I think that we were able to show our strength throughout the season, so I want to rest well and have a good camp, and fight to aim for the top and win the title next season.
Dear fans and supporters, thank you so much for your passionate support throughout the year. We truly appreciate your warm cheers, which have pushed us forward. Thank you for everything this year."
Q=What do you think was the reason for not being able to continue the great performance and content of the first half of this season?
"I think it was a big deal that we couldn't develop a new player or have a new weapon as a team. Diego OLIVEIRA and Nagai are very fast, and although Higashi, Omori, and Tanabe did their best on the side, we needed another attacking option. Originally, we should have developed a different type of player from our young players, but we couldn't do that, and in the second half, it was crucial to have more options in terms of players. If we could have expanded our options more, I think the game would have had a different outcome."
"Urawa - Oswaldo OLIVEIRA Press Conference Summary"
"Today, not only the game, but there are many things I want to comment on. I am grateful for your patience and at the same time, I would like to apologize for making you wait. Today, there was a retirement ceremony for player Hirakawa. He has been working hard for this club for many years, and I think it was a wonderful retirement ceremony that was worthy of him. Watching a player retire always moves my emotions. Especially when they have worn the same shirt for many years, my emotions are particularly stirred."
Football players only die twice in their lives. When they actually die, retirement is also considered a death. That's how important it is for players.
The match was a tough and difficult one against a very high-quality opponent.
The opponent created many chances while we played well. I think it was lucky that we were able to score with our chances. Players who haven't played in a while and players who have returned from injury played on the pitch today. When we can't surpass the opponent with technique, we have to win with motivation and guts. And today, it was a game we were able to win thanks to the efforts of the players on the pitch. I want to dedicate this victory to Hirakawa."
Q=What is the summary of the league match?
"I think this season's J1 was filled with very high-level and strong teams."
When I came to Japan, Hiroshima had a big lead in points. However, they were unable to maintain it and Kawasaki ultimately won the championship by playing with value in their own style. I believe that Kawasaki is the best team this season and deserves to win. In addition to these two teams, there are also great players in Tokyo, C Osaka, and Nagoya, making them all very strong teams.
I played a very high level game with them. I think Japanese soccer as a whole has improved greatly. It has become a country that exports players, and I think the national team has also become stronger. I think the future of Japanese soccer is bright."
