[Player and Coach Comments]
《Ryoya OGAWA》
"The defense was able to hold strong, and we were able to maintain a good flow. I'm glad we could win."
(Scored from a magnificent interception)
"I initiated a dribble on the right side, and the moment we lost the ball, everyone was able to apply very quick pressure. Fortunately, the ball spilled to me, and from there, I was able to take the shot as I had envisioned."
(Today's hero interview was with player Hayashi)
"I thought it might be me, but it wasn't (laughs)
I also felt like there was a call for Ogawa at first, but player Hayashi got to it first (laughs). I want to work hard to perform well in future matches and seize that opportunity again!"
(Enthusiasm for the upcoming league match Sec. 13 against C Osaka)
"Personally, I have many close teammates, so I absolutely don't want to lose, and I want to do my best to bring home 3 points even in an away game."
《Hyun Soo JANG》
"It was a match where we were able to showcase what we had prepared, and by holding on and defending, it led to today's two goals."
(Amidst the shining efforts of the defense, today's hero interview was with player Hayashi)
"I am really happy. Having player Hayashi protecting behind us is very reassuring. I believe that our mutual trust is what has led to these clean sheets."
(When I spoke with Hayashi, he mentioned that the DF line is putting their bodies on the line to defend, which limits the shooting angles. As a result, he said he feels secure in his defense.)
"Since practice, the defenders have been communicating with each other about how far we can defend, discussing with the GK about what we will definitely defend and what we will leave to them. This kind of communication is what leads to our play."
(Enthusiasm for the upcoming league match against C Osaka)
"We are currently achieving good results in the league, but it is important not to be satisfied with this and to continue to build on our training. Including my own condition, I want us to come together as a team and aim to achieve a good result in the end."
《Takefusa KUBO》
(It seemed like he was going against the GK during the scoring moment)
"What I envisioned was to bring it to the form I always practice. I don't really look at the GK."
(It was never an easy shot)
"It was a situation where I had to score, so I didn't think too much about it, just looked at the goal, placed the ball where I'm good at, and kicked it."
(The defense is very stable. Is there anything you are conscious of as an attacking player?)
"We are aware that the defense is desperately holding on, and we want to be the first to touch the loose balls. We don't want to waste those opportunities."
(About today's opponent's playing style)
"When the opponent had the ball, we often applied pressure. Unlike other teams we faced recently, there were times when the opponent fell back and times when we could maintain possession. When the opponent had the ball, I felt we defended as usual, so I don't have the impression that we created many dangerous situations. Of course, there were moments when they created chances. While we had possession of the ball more than usual, I was thinking about whether we could initiate some new actions."
(Even during tough times, the passing accuracy is high)
"I appreciate that people think that way, but for me, since last season, I haven't felt fatigue during matches. I do feel it when I sprint, but I don't feel fatigue throughout the match, so I think my condition is not bad."
《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Director Kenta HASEGAWA》
I think the players fought very aggressively in a difficult match against a tough opponent. Being able to score first was very significant. It was also important that Kubo scored an additional goal when we were struggling to get another point.
Sapporo has a wonderful team under a great coach, and there were several moments where they could have been scored against, but I believe that being able to seize victory in such aggressive developments holds significant value. The Levain Cup and league matches will follow soon, so I want to assess the players' condition and decide on the squad for upcoming matches.
(I felt the momentum that if we score one point, we can win. In that context, how are we selecting the members?)
"I want to decide based on the training so far and the total performance over the 12 matches that have passed. In that context, the players who have had opportunities to play due to injuries have shown wonderful performances. If any players are not in good condition, we are of course preparing for the next steps."
Summary of the Press Conference of Sapporo Coach Zoran PETROVIC
"In the first half, we had many passing mistakes. We should have been more patient and moved the ball around, but we made mistakes and were countered quickly."
After taking possession, it was immediately taken away again.
The opponent created scoring opportunities through attacks utilizing Nagai's speed and set plays, and we also had our chances. In that context, despite some mistakes in the first half, we were able to hold the score to zero by putting our bodies on the line.
In the second half, we launched an attack by moving the ball and utilizing the width.
We created more chances than in the first half, but the first goal conceded was due to losing the ball to the opponent while in possession.
The second goal conceded was also due to a mistake that led to a quick counterattack.
If you give a chance to a team with the experience, quality, and decisiveness like Tokyo, it can be determined. Sapporo had to shake their opponent and launch an attack.
(FC Tokyo's defense was solid, effectively utilizing the switch of play. However, it seems they couldn't capitalize well on the following opportunities)
"Once the switch of play was made, we couldn't break through in a one-on-one dribble situation.
The early cross, the accuracy of the last pass, and the communication with the players inside were not going well.
