[Player and Coach Comments]

Tsuyoshi WATANABE
"As a result, we conceded 2 goals and scored 3 to win, but I feel there are many defensive issues."

(Looking back at the goal that became the winning point)
"When Ogawa sent in the cross, I thought there might be a return pass, so I was getting ready, and then a good ball came from Morishige, so I just had to connect with it. I had the image that I could hit it well just by jumping at my own timing."

(Regarding the great saves made by Go HATANO)
"Both myself and Go HATANO were very aware of the ongoing goals conceded. In that context, his proactive play and the way he inspires the team with his saves are, I believe, one of the factors that will lead to improvement in the future."

(Ohashi is a university classmate, but this is what I felt after matching up)
"There was a different level of tension compared to previous matches. I knew he was an amazing player and someone to watch out for in Shonan. Knowing the period he struggled with injuries, I felt even more that I absolutely couldn't lose to him."
Although we conceded 2 goals, I really think it was great that we were able to win in the end.

(Can we increase our victories from here?)
"I understand that it is really important to turn difficult matches into wins, so I want to improve our team strength by picking up games like this, and I hope to be able to win solidly against any opponent in the future."

(Talking with Okazaki)
"Before the match, we talked about going all out without fearing mistakes. If we play passively, nothing good will happen, so we said we should actively showcase our strengths. He is originally a highly skilled player, so he was a reassuring presence."

(Regarding often conceding the first goal)
"It is not good to get going only after conceding a goal; ideally, the defense should keep it at zero and we need to make it our game. I feel that how we fight as a whole is a challenge for the future."

《Hotaka NAKAMURA Player》
(Regarding finally recording an assist when the coach mentioned that goals from the full-backs have been hard to come by)
"As an individual and as a team, we finally turned the desired goal from a cross from the side into a reality."
When you actually try to take it, nothing has changed significantly.
If we are just happy with this, it won't lead to further improvement as a team or as individuals. I feel like we have finally reached the starting line.
I also think we need to activate more side attacks, including players like Takumi NAKAMURA and Ogawa.
I think I was able to take that step today, so I honestly want to be happy about it and increase the number in the future.

(Today I played as a left back, but was it easier to play?)
"While practicing with my right foot, the left foot crosses felt like a trial run. I'm not that skilled of a player, so while I aimed for the ball, it didn't all go exactly as I imagined. When I thought, 'It should be around here,' I relaxed and the ball went to a good spot. I need to challenge myself with both feet to say it was as intended. I want to take this opportunity to increase my number of assists."

(It is said to be a cross ball that lacked power, but was there an awareness of trying to get it over the opponent's head?)
"I am always conscious of the ball that goes over the near center-back. It is something that the coach has also asked for, and as a crosser, I am focused on dropping the ball between the two center-backs.
Today, Diego TABA was there, and as a result, we were able to send the ball there.

(How was the combination with Higashi and Ryoma on the left side?)
"These three have played together on the right side before, so we were able to communicate and play with Higashi as the focal point. We focused on how to free Higashi while playing."

(Today's Feelings)
"Honestly, I don't think anyone feels any sense of achievement.
The content only has challenges. Among them, the coach mentioned that there is meaning only in winning tough games.
I want to take the victory positively, and since we have the Sendai match coming up soon, I want to recover and do my best for the next game.

《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Director Kenta HASEGAWA》
"It was a difficult match, and the performance was not commendable, but I believe the players worked hard and fought for the victory. I think it is a very significant win."

(There were some difficult parts, but assists from the full-backs and Diego's goal were created)
"Diego became the focal point in the center and scored the second goal.
I hope that if you join us, a core in the front line will be formed.
Regarding Hodaka's cross, it would be even more reliable if he could deliver the same cross from the right side, but I think he provided a pinpoint cross in an important moment today.
It is a positive result that we were able to score from the full-backs, which was a challenge since last season, at an early stage of the season.
If we don't continue this, it will mean nothing, so we want to fight to score more as a team.

(It was a situation where the opponent held the ball until we equalized, but we turned the game around with the goal. How did you see it?)
"Before the match, we talked about playing boldly. Whether good or bad, I intended to closely watch the players and fight through the first half.
In the previous match, Shonan had won against Sendai with a wonderful performance, and I think they were able to play with good momentum and a positive feeling. I was watching from the bench to see how the players would respond to such a Shonan.
I was worried because there were many mistakes, but Tagawa's goal gave the players energy. After that, the team's movement improved, and I felt once again that there is no medicine better than a goal.

(How did you see the flow of the match over the 90 minutes)
"In the early stages, I say 'until both eyes are open' until we win, as the team tends to be nervous about the value until we achieve our second victory. Even when we are winning, there is a tendency to not want to be caught up or to lose, and in the last match, we were caught up."
We talked about fighting aggressively until the end of this match, but I think it's inevitable that a mindset of wanting to win and being cautious will lead to a tense game development at the end.
It is really difficult to achieve a single victory, and as you win, the team gains momentum, but until then, even if you are in the lead, there is always a sense of anxiety. If you don't win, the players won't gain confidence, so I think there will inevitably be a sense of chaos until they get on a roll.
I think the players really held on well to secure the win today.

《Shonan・Bin UKISHIMA Coach Press Conference Summary》
"In terms of how the game unfolded, it was the game plan we had anticipated. I believed we could score the first goal today, and I communicated that to the players before sending them out. However, at that moment, we couldn't maintain the mentality to aim for a second goal after scoring, which led to us conceding two goals."
The inability to break the bad flow is a reflection on the first half.
In the second half, we needed to maintain our attacking mentality and aim for the winning goal after equalizing from a good position. However, we neglected to properly mark until the opponent's attack was over during set plays, which resulted in that kind of goal conceded. I believe it was a game where we couldn't reach the final score because we failed to do what we needed to do at that crucial time.

(It seems that we could have aimed for 1 point, but what do you think about that?)
"Of course, it's an away game, and we could have played to aim for 1 point.
Since we were in a situation waiting to make a substitution at the moment we equalized, I think there was a plan not to make a substitution if we were only aiming for one point.
However, I think this game was one where we could have earned 3 points, and the result reflects our effort to achieve that, so we wanted to take the 3 points.
