[Player and Coach Comments]
《Diego OLIVEIRA》
(The intention of the goal performance is)
"I love playing games and often play, but I had made a promise with my friends."
I had said that I would perform like this if I scored a goal.
(In the final stages of the match, he showed plays to prevent goals near his own goal)
"During corner kick practice, I stand at the front, but after the ball goes over my head, I practice covering the goal. That scene was like that, and I am very happy that I was able to prevent a goal."
(4 matches, 3 goals, currently on a scoring streak, but how do you feel about it)
"I always play with the desire to score goals. However, I can't always record a goal."
I am very happy that I can consistently score goals and contribute to the team.
The result of a goal is not just because of my own efforts, but because my teammates are also showing great plays. I cannot score a goal all by myself. Both the team and I are able to score now, but I think there will be times during the long season when goals are hard to come by.
"Among them, I want to thoroughly focus on team play, and my ideal is to contribute to the team in the form of goals."
(Things I am more conscious of than last season)
"Right now, we are able to train rigorously with high quality, and that is leading to goals. I want to continue to maintain this good situation."
《Kyosuke TAGAWA Player》
In the goal scene, I dribbled the ball myself, thinking simply about striking with my foot, and then I focused on not lifting the ball too high, hitting it with power only at the point of impact to aim for the goal.
I think I hit the sweet spot of the ball; I didn't feel it hit my foot, but the trajectory was good, and it was a nice goal.
(With two consecutive goals, we achieved two straight wins)
"I want to score with this momentum in the U-24 national team as well, and contribute to the team's victory."
(Goal immediately after conceding. What were you aware of after conceding a goal?)
"I didn't feel too nervous about it, and I wasn't really panicking myself. I didn't think too much about it and focused on the plays I needed to make."
(After receiving the ball in space with a one-two from Morishige, what timing did you decide to shoot?)
"I didn't think too much about it, I just felt it was the right moment and struck it with all my might."
(I heard that there were many practices aimed at targeting the course, but specifically what kind of practices were they?)
"Simply dribbling while incorporating feints and taking shots, I have been working on training with an image like today for a while. I think the results of my practice have shown."
(It looks like the condition is good, but what I'm aware of)
"There is nothing special that has changed"
(What do you think is the reason for scoring 3 goals so far this season?)
"I think it's partly because I'm on a roll, and I feel good about my sense of goal-scoring. I'm not entirely sure, though."
Tsuyoshi WATANABE
In a situation where we had to win, I wanted to keep it at zero, but I slipped and conceded a goal, which made the situation difficult.
We need to improve in that regard, and I want to thank the team for achieving a comeback victory.
(The physical play as the team's defensive leader was impressive)
"Since we had been conceding goals continuously, I felt that we couldn't afford to concede any more goals today. It was a tough match, but it was good that we were able to hold our ground in the center and avoid a second goal."
(How do you perceive the frequent situations where we take the lead but end up winning?)
"While it is best to win by keeping the defense at zero and scoring multiple goals, a year or two ago we would concede and then collapse. Now we definitely have the attacking power to turn things around from there. The attacking players are really doing their best, so I want the defensive players to improve steadily as well.
And I want to be able to manage the game more easily.
(Even so, I think there will be difficult moments in the closing stages where we need to hold on, but we are managing to do so)
"Today we were pushed back, but I believe a team that can solidify the center and effectively repel attacks is strong. I want to play with confidence in that aspect."
(Enthusiasm for U-24)
"I think this is an important activity leading up to the Olympics, so first I want to show my maximum performance that I can achieve, and I want to make this a time where I can give that back to the team."
《Tokyo - Summary of the Press Conference with Director Kenta HASEGAWA》
"The start of the first half was very good, and I felt that the content was not bad either."
We conceded the first goal, but I think we were able to control the game from the start. Within that, we were also able to turn it around.
I think there were several chances to score the third goal within the first 15 minutes of the second half, but we couldn't capitalize on those opportunities. After that, due to the physical aspect of having three days in between and being in the seventh match of consecutive games, we were overall tired in the end, and the fresher Sendai increased their work rate.
It became a bit dangerous, but I think the players did their best to hold on to the goal and secure the victory in the end.
(Tagawa's goal was significant in terms of the game's development, as he dribbled and scored it himself, but how does Coach Hasegawa feel about it?)
"It was right after we conceded a goal, so I believe he scored a goal that gave the team energy again."
The power has always been there, but there haven't been many goals scored with precision. Recently, I believe the results of my individual practice targeting shots during training showed in today's goal. I think it was a truly wonderful goal.
(The performances of players Kodama and Mita stood out)
"They played wonderfully."
It has been clear since the camp that Mita has been in good form.
I think it is very important for the team that Higashi and Morishige were able to control the midfield well together when Morishige stepped in as the anchor.
I believe that Kodama has been preparing to be ready to play at any time. I think he has done a solid job.
《Sendai - Summary of the Press Conference with Coach Makoto TEGURAMORI》
"First of all, for us, we were able to start well in the sense that we played a match with the intention of resetting, and being able to score the first goal in the opponent's territory was a good way to begin."
However, it is a point of reflection that we conceded two goals against the individual strengths of the attackers from FC Tokyo, whom we were wary of. Looking back at the previous four matches, there were no instances today where we let the conceded goals affect us and conceded more than two.
Moreover, the fact that we were able to create chances and had a situation where we could potentially secure a point, or even turn the game around, shows a change in the team compared to before.
(Today's game plan)
"FC Tokyo's direct play will bring the ball to the power of the three forwards, so we want to gather numbers there and respond. The fact that we were able to score after being able to respond was truly according to plan."
(Regarding the 2 goals conceded)
"It was because our pressure was weak that we were scored on."
You have to boldly take the timing, intervals, and width of the challenge when there are that many people.
