The FC Tokyo Players Association visited Tomioka First and Second Elementary Schools in Tomioka Town, Futaba District, Fukushima Prefecture on September 17, 2019.
The eight participating players had a fun interaction with elementary school children, engaging in physical activities on the school grounds for about two hours and sharing lunch together.
In the afternoon of the same day, we inspected the areas that were actually affected by the earthquake. The players who visited had the opportunity to see the current state of recovery on-site and to understand the extent of the damage once again.
The FC Tokyo Players Association's support activities for reconstruction will be implemented for the second time since the soccer clinic in Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture in 2014.

□Comments from Participating Players (Excerpt)
・Kiichi YAJIMA, President
"I am really glad that we were able to visit elementary schools as part of the FC Tokyo Players Association's recovery support activities. It was great to see everyone genuinely enjoying themselves. This time, we received a lot of energy and courage from the children. As a players' association, we would like to continue such activities."
・Yojiro TAKAHAGI (from Fukushima Prefecture)
"I was really relieved to see that the children of Tomioka Town were brighter and more energetic than I had imagined. It has been about 8 years since the earthquake, and I thought most areas would have recovered, but I still saw places that remain untouched. I want not only us players but also the fans and supporters to be aware of this situation and to communicate it to various people in different contexts."
