There have been numerous posts on social media that contain offensive remarks, discriminatory expressions, and prejudiced slander towards other clubs and their players, pretending to be real fans and supporters. The damage caused by these impersonations to those who have been targeted, as well as to the players, staff, and genuine fans and supporters who have seen these posts, is immeasurable. Such despicable acts of pretending to be real fans and supporters and making offensive remarks are absolutely unacceptable.
Based on the "Prohibited Items in the J-League" which includes "discriminatory or insulting remarks or actions regarding race, skin color, gender, language, religion, politics, or origin", our club has been promoting the message of "FAIR SUPPORT FOR ALL BY ALL" since September 2014 and working towards eliminating discrimination, provocation, and nuisance behavior.
When it comes to what kind of remarks or actions are considered insulting and discriminatory, there are various interpretations, but the important thing is how the receiver felt. Regardless of this impersonation incident, FC Tokyo will never tolerate aggressive, insulting, and discriminatory (perceived) remarks or actions.
