□About "Easy Japanese" in Tokyo
"Easy Japanese" is a term that refers to simplified Japanese that is easy for foreigners to understand. The number of foreign residents in Tokyo is increasing, with about 520,000 people as of January 2022, and the diversity of nationalities is also increasing. In order to realize a multicultural society where Japanese and foreigners live and thrive together in their communities, it is important to use "easy Japanese" to communicate with each other while bridging the gap. "Easy Japanese" is not only effective for communication with foreigners, but also as a tool for communication with children, elderly, and people with disabilities, and efforts are being made in various fields such as administrative information, daily life information, and news dissemination.
