□About the Kodaira City Board of Education Members
The Board of Education is a deliberative executive body established by the "Law on the Organization and Administration of Local Education" and is composed of the Superintendent of Education and four members.
The education committee members are appointed by the mayor with the consent of the city council from among those who have insight into education, academia, and culture.
As a primary duty, we will discuss and decide on the basic policies and important matters of educational administration.

I have been appointed as a member of the Kodaira City Board of Education.
I felt very honored when I was first approached. At the same time, I had concerns about whether I would be able to fulfill the role. The main reason I accepted was my strong desire to contribute to Kodaira City. I was appointed at the city council, and participating in today's certificate presentation ceremony makes me feel a renewed sense of responsibility.
Based on the experiences I gained through sports, the J-League, and FC Tokyo, as well as the education I received at elementary and junior high schools in Kodaira City, I want to clearly convey what I believe will benefit the children and Kodaira City.
There is data indicating that children's physical abilities have declined due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so I will sincerely work on how to make children enjoy physical activities.
