3/2 (Sat) Announcement of "Crowd Observation" Implementation at Hiroshima Game Stadium

FC Tokyo, SHIMIZU CORPORATION, and Vector Research Co., Ltd. (cooperation) will conduct customer flow observation at the Meiji Yasuda J1 League Sec. 2 match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima (kickoff at 3:00 PM/Ajinomoto Stadium) on March 2nd (Sat).

Observation data will be used to improve services related to future game operations and to assist in the design of stadium facilities.
In addition, the camera images obtained through this survey and the data generated or extracted from the camera images will be handled with reasonable security measures and will not be used for purposes other than the intended use.

□Purpose of Use
We will conduct crowd behavior measurement and joint research at the stadium facilities to understand the actual situation, and use the knowledge obtained for the following purposes.
・Reflection of facility design that ensures safe flow for facility users
・Safe facility operation including safe group guidance and congestion mitigation during events
・Activation of community development through the construction of stadiums and other facilities and safe facility management
・Implementation of research on architectural design methods reflecting crowd behavior characteristics



□ Observation System
・Understanding the flow of people inside the stadium using high-definition camera images
・Measuring the congestion of toilets and other facilities using IoT sensors
・Measuring the movement of people inside the stadium using Wi-Fi
・Observation system of people flow inside the stadium using 3D-LiDAR sensors
※The content captured by high-definition cameras does not identify individuals and will not be used for any other purpose.
※3D-LiDAR sensors can observe a wide range of situations such as rain, night time, and indoor/outdoor environments. They do not capture information such as people's faces or clothing, allowing for privacy-conscious observation.
