Easy Japanese refers to Japanese that has been simplified to make difficult words easier to understand.

2. Broadcast of Collaborative PR Video
A collaborative awareness video about "Easy Japanese" will be broadcast on the large screen at Sujium.

"Easy Japanese" refers to simplified Japanese that is considerate of foreigners and others, making it easier to understand. The number of foreign residents in Tokyo is on the rise, currently around 650,000 as of January 2024, with a diverse range of nationalities. To realize a multicultural society where Japanese and foreigners live and thrive together in the community, it is important to use "Easy Japanese" to facilitate communication through mutual understanding. Furthermore, "Easy Japanese" is not only effective for foreigners but also serves as a very effective tool for communication with children, the elderly, and people with disabilities, and efforts are expanding in various fields such as administrative information, daily life information, and news dissemination.
