On November 22, 2024 (Friday) around 17:00, an email titled "【FC Tokyo】Notice of Completion of Automatic Renewal Payment for 2025 Season Tickets" was sent to automatic renewal members of SOCIO・OFFICIAL MEMBERSHIP by the club. However, due to an operational mistake on our part, there was a case where purchaser information of a different person was included and sent to the recipients.
We apologize for any inconvenience and concern we may have caused you.
We will thoroughly manage personal information and strive to prevent mishandling by implementing preventive measures and conducting internal education throughout the club.
We would like to inform you as follows regarding this matter.
1. Background
(1) On 11/21 (Thu), during the advance reservation period for the 2025 season for OFFICIAL MEMBERSHIP BIGFLAMES PREMIUM members, payment processing will be carried out for those who have selected automatic renewal.
(2) 11/22 (Fri) 17:00 - Sent email without realizing that the recipient and purchaser information were misaligned when creating and sending emails based on the payment results and purchase information.
(3) Received reports from multiple individuals after 17:00 on 11/22 (Fri) stating that the purchaser information is different, and have acknowledged the situation.
(4) 11/22 (Fri) 17:10 From investigation of email sending history, 142 cases have been identified as being affected. In accordance with the personal information protection regulations, we are coordinating with the in-house legal department.
(5) 11/22 (Fri) 19:33 A notification and apology email regarding this incident will be sent to all concerned parties via email. We will also request for the deletion of the email.

3. Cause
Due to human error in the operation of setting the information to be provided to the target audience.
4. Measures to prevent recurrence
・In addition to the person in charge of email distribution, we will also set a person in charge of verifying the consistency of the distribution content and strengthen the checking function.
・We will consider introducing an automatic distribution tool instead of manually setting up email distribution.
・We will conduct re-education for employees regarding the handling of personal information.
No credit card information has been leaked or charged for incorrect amounts due to the recent email error. While there have been no confirmed incidents of personal information being leaked or misused to third parties, we will continue to monitor the situation.
