Day 8 of the U-18 America Expedition

After a night following yesterday's defeat, the players showed various expressions. They want to give their all in the remaining matches for their growth.

Today's match is against Philadelphia Union, kicking off at 9:00.
Due to the match kicking off in the morning, different adjustments have been necessary compared to before.
However, we will make the utmost preparations for the match and approach it with determination.

And kickoff.

While maintaining possession of the ball, we were able to connect well with our teammates and advance into the opponent's court.
Showed an aggressive attitude in defense, frequently stole the ball in the opponent's court, and connected it to the attack.
However, the aspect of "taking the goal" remains low in quality, and the first half ends with a scoreless draw.
This marks three consecutive matches starting the second half at 0-0.

In the previous matches, we have allowed the opponent to take the lead after this. We will tighten our focus once again and approach the second half.

From the start of the second half, we showed a calm performance and were able to maintain a solid defense that prevented the opponent from creating any clear chances.

In the 15th minute of the second half, as the number of transitions from good defense to good offense has increased, player Nagata scores the opening goal with a header from a free kick!
Although there were some dangerous moments towards the end, thanks to the GK, we managed to keep a clean sheet until the final whistle.

We won 1-0 against Philadelphia Union.

Tomorrow will be a rest day.
We will make thorough adjustments and prepare for the final two matches.
