Tokyo Gas will offset all CO2 emissions from the FC Tokyo vs Nagoya Grampus match in the 2018 Meiji Yasuda Life J1 League Sec. 11, held on April 28 (Sat) at Ajinomoto Stadium, by utilizing the J-Credit system.
□About Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd. and FC Tokyo's environmental activities
Tokyo Gas has been utilizing the "J-Credit System" at internal and external events, the Ise-Shima Summit, and the 87th and 88th National Urban Baseball Tournaments for the purpose of environmental contribution.
In addition, FC Tokyo has been working on environmental contributions, such as donating money based on the number of goals scored in home games to the "Tokyo Green Fund", using reusable cups during game operations, and encouraging business staff to bring their own chopsticks.
Both companies will continue to actively contribute to improving regional and global environmental issues through efforts to reduce CO2 emissions and other environmental impacts.
※1 In home games hosted by FC Tokyo, CO2 is emitted due to game operations at the stadium and transportation of visitors, players, and staff. It is estimated that approximately 50t of CO2 is emitted in one home game, which is equivalent to the amount of CO2 absorbed by about 10,000 beech trees.
※2 The J-Credit system certified by the government is a system in which the government certifies the amount of greenhouse gas emissions and absorption, such as CO2, through efforts such as introducing energy-saving equipment and forest management, as "credits". These credits created by this system can be used for various purposes such as achieving the goals of a low-carbon society and carbon offset.
