Tokyo Gas will offset all CO2 emissions generated during the match between FC Tokyo and Nagoya Grampus at Ajinomoto Stadium on April 28 (Saturday), 2018, as part of the J-Credit system in Sec. 11 of the Meiji Yasuda J1 League.

About the environmental activities of TOKYO GAS CO.,LTD and FC Tokyo
Tokyo Gas has utilized the "J-Credit System" for environmental contributions in various internal and external events, including the Ise-Shima Summit and the 87th and 88th Urban Baseball Championships.
Additionally, FC Tokyo has been working on environmental contributions by donating an amount corresponding to the number of goals scored in home games to the "Tokyo Green Fund," using reusable cups during match operations, and encouraging business staff to bring their own chopsticks.
Both companies will continue to actively contribute to improving local and global environmental issues through initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact, starting with CO2 reduction.

*1 At home games hosted by FC Tokyo, CO2 is emitted due to energy consumption in stadium operations and the transportation of visitors, players, and staff. It is estimated that approximately 50 tons of CO2 are emitted during a single home game, which is equivalent to the CO2 absorption of about 10,000 beech trees.
The J-Credit system certified by the government is a system that certifies the amount of greenhouse gas emissions reductions and absorptions, such as CO2, achieved through initiatives like the introduction of energy-saving equipment and forest management as "credits." The credits created by this system can be utilized for various purposes, including achieving the goals of low-carbon society implementation plans and carbon offsets.
