We hereby announce that Shigeya Kawagishi, President and CEO of our club, will step down as of July 1, 2026.

During my tenure, I would like to sincerely thank all the fans and supporters, hometown municipalities, local communities, partner companies, and related organizations for their tremendous support and cooperation.

Regarding the successor to the Representative Director and President, we will inform you again once the decision has been made following the approval procedures at meetings based on the Companies Act and other related regulations.

I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who has always supported FC Tokyo. I have decided to step down as the President and CEO of FC Tokyo. Through this role, I have felt the greatness of FC Tokyo in various situations and have worked with the desire to further enhance its significance and value. As a football club, it is undeniable that the team's performance is always under scrutiny. In that regard, I am frustrated and sorry that we could not achieve the desired results. On the other hand, the club is now ready to move on to the next stage. I believe that FC Tokyo is a club that can definitely win the league championship, and that this is only a milestone for the club. FC Tokyo will surely soar to the world carrying the hopes of everyone who supports the club. I will pass the baton for this journey to the next person. Although my position will change, I will continue to support this journey as a single supporter.
