Tokyo Football Club Co., Ltd. hereby announces that at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders and the board of directors held on July 1, 2026, Eisuke Shirai was appointed as Representative Director and President.

*Excerpt from the Inaugural Address at the FC Tokyo New Structure Announcement for the 2026/27 Season
"I am Shirai, who has been appointed as the Representative Director of Tokyo Football Club Co., Ltd. as of July 1st.
I have taken on the significant role of representing FC Tokyo, a club with one of the highest potentials in Japan, and along with this great responsibility, I feel a strong sense of determination inspired by the expectations for the club's future.
Last season, the club finished 2nd in the Regional League Ground EAST and 4th overall in the Meiji Yasuda J1 Century Vision League. We sincerely accept this result and will do our utmost to aim for the league title and grow into a club that represents the league. I believe this is my greatest mission.
In terms of management, we will further develop the business foundation that former President Shigeya Kawagishi has built up and link that growth to investment in the football division. We aim to establish a solid management foundation that enables sustainable investment so that not only the top team but also the academy players can grow in a better environment.
Club management involves various elements, but we will cherish dialogue with the local community and, without forgetting our gratitude for the support from many stakeholders, we will devote ourselves fully to both club management and improving the team's performance.
For the past five years, I have been involved in the management of a B.League club. This time, I am filled with great joy and anticipation to be able to engage once again in the world of football, which I have been involved with as a player, but now from the business side. On the other hand, there are still many things I need to learn. While receiving various opinions and insights from everyone, I will responsibly work to grow FC Tokyo into one of Japan’s leading big clubs that can be proud on the world stage.
We want to build a new history together with all the fans and supporters, partners, local communities, and everyone who supports the club.
FC Tokyo will continue to challenge ourselves, aiming to become a stronger club than ever before.
