[7/15 Update][Important] Regarding Viewing Manners for the Match Against Urawa on 7/18 (Saturday)

Notice from the club

In the case of extremely strict security measures and during matches under strict security conditions, in addition to the existing J-League common viewing manners and rules, new guidelines for match hosting and viewing methods have been established as measures against the novel coronavirus infection.
FC Tokyo will proceed with preparations for the match in accordance with the "J League New Coronavirus Infection Response Guidelines."

Please check below for the viewing etiquette for the match on 7/18 (Saturday) 2020 Meiji Yasuda Life Insurance Company J1 League Sec. 5 vs Urawa Reds (Kick-off at 19:00 / Ajinomoto Stadium).
The situation regarding the spread of the novel coronavirus infection, government announcements, and decisions by local governments may lead to sudden changes in restrictions, transition periods, and operational methods.

□What is required of all attendees
(1) If you are unable to attend, please have the courage to refrain from coming.
・If you are not feeling well (e.g., if you have symptoms such as fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, or abnormalities in taste or smell)
・If there are suspected cases of infection among cohabiting family members or close acquaintances
・If you have traveled to or had close contact with residents of countries or regions that have entry restrictions or require observation periods after entry imposed by the government within the past 14 days.

(2) Please do not engage in handshakes, hugs, or similar gestures.

(3) Please maintain social distancing. (During entry and exit, in line for the restroom, etc.).
Especially the restrooms and concession stands just before the match starts and during halftime will be crowded, so please try to use them at different times if possible.

(4) Please wear a mask in the stadium.
If you remove your mask due to heatstroke prevention, please be mindful of social distancing and cough etiquette.

(5) Please wash your hands and disinfect your fingers frequently.
* Please bring disinfectant (such as a portable bottle) as much as possible for infection prevention.

□New Items to Bring When Attending a Match
Please bring the following items in addition to your admission ticket when coming to the stadium.
・Mask
・Handkerchief

□ Entry and Exit to the Stadium
(1) Your temperature will be measured at the entrance gate, and if it is 37.5°C or higher, you will not be allowed to enter. Please note that no refunds will be given if entry is denied. Additionally, we may ask for your contact information when denying entry.

(2) Hand sanitizers will be installed at all entrances. Please be sure to sanitize your hands.
Please bring hand sanitizer in a portable bottle and disinfect your hands frequently to prevent infection.

(3) The entrance gates vary by seat type. (See the diagram below)
・Main Gate 3: Main SS Seats, Main S Seats

・Gate 2 North: Center Seats, Back Seats, Home Seats

(4) From the perspective of infection prevention, regulated exits are planned after the match ends.
We plan to exit in the following order, but announcements will be made in the venue each time, so please follow the instructions for exiting.
・1st ⇒ Main SS Seats, Main S Seats
・2nd ⇒ Center Seats, Back Seats
・3rd ⇒ Home Seats
* Announcements for exiting are scheduled to be made every 5 to 10 minutes.

* As stated in the Q&A below, this will not be implemented during ultra-restrictive matches (5,000 person limit), but regulated exits are planned for restrictive matches (50% limit).

(5) Re-entry is not allowed.

(6) Reserving a spot to secure the order of entry before the gates open is not allowed.

□Events & Stalls
(1) Events will be held with careful consideration of social distancing.
* Information about the events to be held will be provided on the official homepage and other platforms.

(2) There will be no mascot greetings outside or in the concourse.
* Details about mascot appearances will be provided on the official homepage and other platforms.

(3) Sales of food and beverages (excluding alcohol) will be conducted.
* Due to expected congestion at the venue's concession stands, please bring your own food and drinks as much as possible for infection prevention.
* Information about the food and beverage vendors that will be operating will be provided on the official homepage and other platforms.

(4) Merchandise sales will be conducted.
* The stores where this will be implemented will be announced on the official homepage and other platforms.

(5) No temporary smoking areas will be established.

When lining up at events, food stalls, and merchandise stalls, please maintain adequate social distancing and keep space between each other.

□How to Watch the Game
(1) During the game, moving from your seat is prohibited (such as sitting next to each other without spacing, moving to the front of the stands to call out to players, or moving to a dry place during rain).

(2) There are no visitor seats available. Please be aware that entry, viewing, and cheering while wearing the away team's uniform or merchandise is not permitted.

(3) Outside the stadium, please ensure social distancing and avoid behaviors that pose a risk of infection, such as loud shouting, singing, cheering, and crowding.

□Cheering Style
The following actions are prohibited.
・Incite support
・Cheering with voices such as singing, whistling
・Clapping ※Applause is allowed.
・Waving or spinning items such as towel mufflers and large flags
・Use of megaphones including tramegas
・Drums and other musical instruments
・High five, arm around
・Support using big flags
・Acts such as displaying gate-type flags on seats that cause inconvenience to other customers

□Display of banners (flags, horizontal banners)
The display locations for banners (flags, horizontal banners, etc.) have been decided. Please refrain from displaying them in locations other than the designated areas. Please follow the instructions of the staff when displaying.

* Visitor banners cannot be displayed.
* The use of duct tape when installing banners is prohibited.


□Other Prohibited Items
・Please arrive at the stadium after the opening time.
・Please refrain from waiting near the player bus area and the entrance for officials.
・If you do not have a ticket, please do not come to the stadium or its surroundings.

Please adhere to the J.League Unified Prohibition Rules (J.League Common Viewing Manners & Rules) and the FC Tokyo Soccer Match Management Regulations, as well as the J.League Guidelines for Responding to the Novel Coronavirus Infection.

□Q&A
Q1. I am feeling a bit unwell, but my temperature is not over 37.5 degrees. Is it okay to go to the stadium?
A1. If you are feeling unwell, regardless of your temperature, please have the courage to refrain from attending.

Q2. Is there a shuttle bus?
A2. During the ultra-tight security situation (5,000 people), shuttle bus services will not be provided. Please use the regular bus services.

Q3. Is there a waiting line before the gates open?
A3. There is no waiting line before the gates open. All seats are reserved. Please refrain from coming to the stadium before the gates open.

Q4. Will AO-AKA PARK be held?
A4. AO-AKA PARK will not be held at matches under the ultra-strict control system (limit of 5,000 people or less). AO-AKA PARK Online is being streamed on the official YouTube channel, so please enjoy it there.

Q5. Is it allowed to bring in food and drinks containing alcohol?
A5. There are no specific restrictions on bringing in food and drinks. However, as usual, containers made of glass bottles or cans must be transferred to paper cups.

Q6. Will there be crowding during entry and exit?
A6. Arriving just before the match is expected to be crowded. Please arrive with plenty of time to spare.
In a state of extreme alert (5,000 person limit), this will not be implemented during the match, but in a state of alert (50% limit), regulated exits are planned.

Q7. Is it okay to place a uniform in the empty seat next to me?
A7. No problem. However, please let those around you know before placing it.

Q8. How can we create excitement during the member announcement?
A8. Cheering out loud and clapping to incite those around you is prohibited. Please feel free to encourage with applause.

Q9. It’s been a while since I watched a game at Ajinomoto Stadium. I want to welcome the players by singing You’ll Never Walk Alone.
A9. Singing out loud is prohibited. It is allowed to raise banners such as scarves.

Q10. How can we hype up the players' entrance?
A10. Cheering out loud and clapping hands to incite those around you are prohibited. Please cheer enthusiastically with applause.

Q11. Is it allowed to hold up towel scarves?
A11. There is no problem.
However, please refrain from displaying anything that may disturb those around you. Additionally, actions such as waving or spinning towel mufflers are prohibited.

Q12. Is it allowed to raise the gate flag (geefura)?
A12. The display of gate flags is not prohibited. However, please refrain from displaying them in a way that may disturb those around you.

Q13. Do we have to remain silent during the match?
A13. Natural sounds and applause that occur during the match are not prohibited. Please actively applaud good plays and support the players.
However, clapping and cheering that leads to group support are prohibited for infection prevention.

Q14. Is it allowed to change seats when it rains or when players approach?
Movement from your seat is prohibited during the match.

Q15. Are there any queue rules inside the stadium?
A15. When waiting in line at food and beverage stalls, merchandise shops, or restrooms, please follow the guidance (such as the signs on the ground) and maintain social distancing.
Restrooms and concession stands may be crowded just before the match starts and during halftime, so please try to avoid using them during peak times.

Q16. Are there food and beverage vendors inside the stadium?
A16. The stadium shop is open. However, alcoholic beverages are not sold.
You are also allowed to bring food and drinks. Please consider bringing your own to help alleviate congestion inside the venue.

Q17. It is hot and I can't wear a mask, is it okay to take it off?
A17. It is not a problem to remove your mask as a measure against heatstroke. If you remove your mask, please be mindful of social distancing and cough etiquette with those around you.

Q18. Is there a merchandise store?
A18. The merchandise store will be open, but the products sold will be limited.
There are no new products on the day of the match, so please consider using the official online store.

Q19. Is there a gacha machine?
A19. We sell gacha gacha, but it is not sold through the usual machines; instead, products will be handed over by staff.
Also, please refrain from activities that may lead to congestion, such as product exchanges.

Q20. Is alcohol disinfection installed?
A20. Alcohol disinfectant is available in the venue, but please bring your own alcohol disinfectant as much as possible.

Q21. If I forget my mask, are masks sold inside the venue?
Q21. Masks are not sold at the stadium. Please be sure to prepare your own.

Q22. Is there a smoking area?
A22. We will not install it inside the stadium.
