Player Sato's Comment
"I have decided to transfer to Valencia CF.
I am truly proud to have been nurtured by FC Tokyo for about 10 years from the FC Tokyo Soccer School Advanced Class and to have been able to play professionally for this club.
The six months after returning to FC Tokyo, having experienced a developmental loan transfer to Fagiano Okayama, were truly special times for me. I was able to turn the support and expectations of the fans and supporters into strength on the field, and it was precisely because of the experience and confidence I gained during these six months that I was able to decide to take on the challenge overseas.
I am truly happy to be able to take on the challenge of the world from FC Tokyo. And I hope that my challenge will, even just a little, connect to the future of this club that has nurtured me since my academy days.
Playing in La Liga has been my dream since I was a child. I am truly happy to be able to take on the challenge on that stage. I am excited for the days ahead that are about to begin.
To the coaches, staff, teammates, family, and all the fans and supporters who have always given me passionate support, thank you very much.
I believe that achieving results on the world stage as a player raised by FC Tokyo is the greatest way to give back to the club and to everyone who supports us.
